Almost everyone gets married at some point. The only difference is that some do arrange marriages as per the wish of the family members, while some do love marriages. If we talk about love marriage here, then everyone's love does not reach the marriage and if anyone faces the most problems in this, then it is the inter-caste marriage couple. Even today in our country, the narrow-mindedness of the people regarding this marriage is seen. To change this thinking, financial assistance of Rs 2.50 lakh is given to couples who do inter-caste marriages. So let's know what is this scheme under which they are available etc. You can learn more about this in the next slides...
This scheme is known as Dr. Ambedkar Foundation, and on behalf of them, financial assistance of Rs 2.50 lakh is given to the couple doing inter-caste marriage. At the same time, for this, your marriage must be intercaste. One of the couple must be from outside the Dalit community and the other from the Dalit community.
To apply for Dr. Ambedkar Foundation, your marriage must be registered under the Hindu Marriage Act 1995. You can do this work by putting in an affidavit. If your marriage is not registered, then you are not considered eligible.
If we talk about the benefits of this scheme, then only those people who are getting married for the first time get a benefit of Rs. If you are getting married for the second or more time, then you are considered ineligible and you cannot avail this benefit.
If you are getting married under the rules and you are eligible, then you have to apply for Dr. Ambedkar Foundation after marriage. Keep in mind that you have to make this application within one year of marriage.
