A bug has appeared in the Meta-owned photo and video-sharing app Instagram. Due to this bug, audio is disappearing from old videos of Instagram. Some very old users have faced this problem.
According to the report, the audio of Instagram videos is disappearing automatically. Users are not getting any information about why the audio is disappearing.
Usually, when audio is muted in videos on Instagram or Facebook, users are informed about this. It is said in the report that this problem has been faced only by those users who had uploaded their videos on Instagram around 2014.
It is being said that the videos from which audio has gone missing are not due to copyright. When copyright issues arise, Instagram sends alerts to its users through mail or app, whereas these users have not received any kind of notification.
A report by The Verge states that audio is missing from videos uploaded between June 2013 and October 2014. The caption coming with the videos is that there is no sound in this video. Let us remind you that Instagram started the video feature on its platform only in June 2013.
