Whole Urad Dal 1 cup
Fresh cream 3 tbsp
Tomato paste 1 cup
Ginger-garlic paste 1 tbsp
Ghee 2 tbsp
Butter - 1 tbsp
Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
Coriander powder - 2 tsp
Garam masala - 1 tsp
Cumin - 1/2 tsp
Bay leaf - 1
Turmeric - 1/4 tsp
salt - as per taste
Recipe to make Dal Bukhara
To make Dal Bukhara, first, you have to take whole urad dal.
After that clean it thoroughly and then wash it.
After this keep it soaked for at least four hours.
Now take a pressure cooker and then add soaked dal and water as required.
Also, add salt and turmeric to it and keep it boiling and cook till 4-5 whistles come.
After this, turn off the gas, and let the pressure release.
Now mash the dal well.
After this, put 2 tablespoons of ghee in each pan and heat it on medium flame.
When the ghee becomes hot and melts, add cumin seeds and temper it.
After this, add bay leaf and ginger-garlic paste and fry it for a few seconds.
Then add tomato paste to it and let it cook while stirring with the help of a ladle.
After this mix red chili powder, coriander powder and turmeric and fry it.
When it is fried well, then add boiled lentils to it and add salt and let it cook covered.
Now add fresh cream and butter to it and mix.
