Rice is almost everyone's favorite dish. Rice is prepared and eaten in different ways. But if you are bored of eating the same type of rice, then you can try South Indian-style ghee rice.
a cup of cooked rice
two teaspoons ghee
1/2 tsp mustard seed
half teaspoon urad dal
1/2 tsp chana dal
three red chilies
12 curry leaves
a cup of coconut
a pinch of asafoetida
salt to taste
First of all, put ghee in a pan or pan and keep it on a medium flame for heating.
After the ghee is hot, add mustard, urad dal, chana dal, and cashew nuts and roast it for two minutes.
Turn off the gas when it becomes light golden and keep it aside.
Now add curry leaves, dry red chilies, a pinch of asafoetida, coarsely ground coconut, and salt as per taste to this pan and cook it well.
Now add cooked rice to this prepared tadka, mix well, and stir with a spoon for 3-4 minutes.
After this, keep aside the tempering of lentils and cashew nuts and cook it well.
Finally, add ghee to the prepared rice and serve it hot and enjoy it with pickle, chutney, or papad.
