In today's fast-paced world, there are very few people who give importance to keeping their slip cycle well maintained. Scrolling social media at night, and studying till late affects the sleep cycle. It has been shown in so many studies that compromising the sleep cycle is harmful to health, yet most people are not able to pay much attention to completing their sleep on time.

What do experts say?
According to experts, a healthy person should take 7-8 hours of sleep every day, this keeps both mental health and physical health healthy. Research has shown many times that sleeping on time and getting complete sleep brings positive changes in energy levels and also makes one feel mentally healthy. Studies have also shown that spoiling the sleep pattern increases the risk of depression and stress.

If the slip cycle is affected daily then its effect is mental as well as physical. For example-

Risk of obesity increases
By sleeping late, the level of leptin (appetite-reducing) hormone in the body decreases and the level of ghrelin (appetite-increasing) hormone starts increasing. This increases the habit of overeating and increases the risk of obesity.

Digestive system may be damaged
Due to eating food late at night and not being able to sleep early, the digestive system does not function properly. This can cause problems like acidity, constipation, and flatulence.

Risk of diabetes increases
Sleeping late can reduce insulin in the body, which can increase blood sugar levels and increase the risk of diabetes.

Increased risk of heart disease
Sleeping after midnight increases blood pressure and heart rate, due to which the risk of heart disease also increases.

Sleeping late at night may be very exciting, but when it becomes a daily habit and continues till after midnight, it can cause serious harm to health.
