Lentils can cause nutritional deficiency

While on the one hand pulses are rich in many types of nutrients, on the other hand, if it is consumed in excess then you may have to face the problem of nutritional deficiency. For example, it contains high amounts of potassium, which can disturb the sodium, potassium and electrolyte balance in the body. Similarly, compounds called phytates are found in lentils which can interfere with the absorption of minerals like iron, zinc and calcium.

Lentils cause weight gain
