The correct way to practice Shavasana
Step 1- To practice Shavasana, lie comfortably on your back on the mat.
Step 2- Close your eyes and separate both the legs. Keep the body completely relaxed.
Step 3- Keep in mind that both the toes of your feet are bent towards the sides. Hands should be along the body but kept at a distance.
Step 4- Keep the palms open and upward. Slowly pay attention to every part of the body and keep the breathing rate slow.
Step 5- If you feel lazy while meditating, then increase the speed of breathing. Do not sleep while doing asana.
Step 6- Focus on body and breath. When the body completely relaxes in 10-12 minutes, you will be able to feel the new freshness. Now slowly sit in the Sukhasana position and open your eyes.
Precautions during Shavasana

Even though Shavasana is simple to do, it should not be started on its own. This asana is not for everyone. If you are in the last three months of pregnancy then do not practice Shavasana. Apart from this, even if there is a back injury or back surgery, one should not do Shavasana.
Don't want to sleep
The body relaxes by practicing Shavasana. Due to this, there is a possibility of falling asleep during exercise. Due to sleepiness during this period, one cannot get adequate benefits from yoga. Therefore, keep the focus on the breath and the whole body, and do not sleep during yoga.
