Method

To make Makhana Kheer, you first have to roast the Makhanas. For this, first heat some ghee in a pan. Keep in mind that the ghee should not be too much, you have to roast the Makhanas in it.

After heating the ghee, add the Makhanas in it and fry them on low flame till they turn golden. When the Makhanas are roasted, turn off the gas and keep them on one side. Now take a heavy pan or a heavy-bottomed kadhai and boil the milk in it.

When the milk starts boiling, add the roasted Makhanas in it. Now keep stirring it continuously. When the milk thickens and the Makhanas become soft, then add sugar to it and mix well. Now add chopped cashews, almonds, pistachios, and raisins to this kheer.

Finally, add cardamom powder and saffron and mix well. Your kheer is ready. Let it cool for some time and then offer kheer to Mahadev. You can also consume this kheer during fasting.
