What is the punishment for hacking?

Hacking is defined in our Constitution under Section 66 of the Information Technology Act, of 2000. According to this section, a person can be punished with imprisonment and a fine for illegally accessing a computer or computer network. Also, there can be a jail sentence of up to 3 years and a fine of up to Rs 5 lakh.
