Rapid Rail: The wait of the countrymen is over. The country has got the gift of its first rapid rail. On October 20, Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off the Rapid Rail Namo Bharat from Vasundhara Sector 8 of Ghaziabad. Let us know some special things related to the Rapid Rail.
Some special things related to the country's first rapid rail
- The maximum speed of the train will be 160 kilometers per hour.
- At present, people will be able to travel 17 kilometers from Sahibabad to Duhai by rapid rail.
- This journey can be completed in just 12 to 15 minutes.
- These include Sahibabad, Ghaziabad, Guldhar, Duhai and Duhai Depot.
- After completion of the 82 kilometer corridor, travel from Delhi to Meerut can be done in 1 hour.
- The train can travel up to 100 kilometers in 60 minutes.
- The fare for the standard class will be between 20 to 50 rupees, while the fare for the premium class will be between 40 to 100 rupees.
- Passengers can buy tickets through UPI.
- Apart from this, tickets can also be purchased from ticket vending machines and ticket counters.
- The train seats have been made very comfortable.
- The train has an adjustable chair, Wi-Fi facility is also there. Mobile and USB charger is also installed.
- There are also special arrangements for passengers travelling while standing.
- Apart from 6 coaches, Rapidex also has one premium coach.
- There is a provision for a separate coach for women.
- Arrangements for seats have also been made for disabled people and senior citizens.
- 1700 passengers will be able to travel at a time in the rapid train. There are a total of 72 seats in the standard coach and 62 seats in the premium coach.
- The rapid train will start running at 6:00 am and you can avail its facility till 11:00 pm.
- There will be a gap of 15 minutes between two rapid trains.
