Causes of weakness and pain in joints

  • The more the body weight, the more pressure is exerted on the joints.
  • Pain after an injury often occurs after healing.
  • Persistent sitting in one place or kneeling for long periods of time.
  • Patellofemoral syndrome is usually caused by an imbalance in the muscles.
  • Deficiency of essential nutrients like Vitamin-D, calcium and iron.

Ingredients required-

  • Milk - 1 bowl
  • Black raisins - 5 to 6
  • Curd - 1/2 tsp

Method to prepare -

  • Take a bowl of milk and make it lukewarm.
  • Add raisins to this milk.
  • Then add a little curd and mix it well.
  • Now cover it with a cloth and keep it in a warm place overnight.
  • Your curd with raisins is ready.
  • Consume it.

An Expert says, "If your bones are weak and there is a pain in the joints, then you must include raisin curd in your diet." Both raisins and curd are rich in calcium. Also, the curd is rich in phosphorus, which helps in strengthening bones and increasing bone density. You can take it as a mead meal to curb hunger.

Benefits of raisins for bones

Raisins are an excellent source of essential nutrients, minerals and energy in the form of calories and sugars. It is rich in fibre, vitamins and minerals.

Although raisins are naturally sweet and rich in sugar and calories, they are beneficial for health when eaten in moderation. Raisins can aid in digestion, increase iron levels, and keep bones strong.

Boron is essential for bone formation and it is present in high amounts in raisins. They are high in calcium and rich in micronutrients. Eating raisins daily helps in keeping bones healthy and strong.

Benefits of curd for bones

Curd is a dairy product and fermented food. The fermentation process takes place when bacteria are added to the milk. The unique nutritional value of curd is beneficial in many ways. Apart from enhancing the taste of many foods, curd also improves digestion and strengthens bones and teeth.

Curd is rich in calcium and phosphorus. Both these elements make bones strong. Hence, the curd is a good option to meet the calcium requirement of the bones. Regular consumption of curd strengthens bones, thereby preventing problems like arthritis and osteoporosis.

Curd acts as probiotic and raisins as a prebiotic with high content of soluble fibre. They neutralize bad bacteria, promote the growth of good bacteria, and reduce inflammation in the intestines. This combination is also good for bones and joints.
