Who built the fort of Hari Parvat?

Hari Parbat is a Kashmiri fort, also known as Kuh-e-Maran. The fort is located west of Dal Lake in Srinagar in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. The history of this fort has been quite interesting.

It is said to have been built by Atta Mohammad Khan, an Afghan governor in the 18th century. Later in 1590, a long wall was built by Emperor Akbar.

Kuh-e-Maran is also known as Hari Parvat

Koh-e-Maran is also known as "Koh-e-Maran" and "Maranatha" in English. It is a historical fort, located in the ancient part of Srinagar, Kashmir. This fort is built on a stone peak.

However, the maintenance of this fort is under the Archaeological Department of the Government of Jammu and Kashmir. To visit this fort, tourists have to first take permission from the Archaeological Department.

How to reach Hari Parbat Fort?

Srinagar Railway Station is about 17 km from Hari Parbat Fort. You can come to see this fort by rail and a taxi can be taken from here. At the same time, Srinagar International Airport is at a distance of about 16.7 km from Hari Parbat Fort. If you do not like the train journey, then you can also come by bus.
