Life has been disturbed due to the scorching heat in most states across the country. The problem of strong heat and heat is causing fatal side effects. Thousands of people have been victims of the side effects caused by heat stroke and heat. Sources in the Health Ministry said on Thursday that at least 110 people died due to the scorching heat between March 1 and June 18 this year and more than 41,789 people suspect heatstroke.
According to data compiled by the National Center for Disease Control (NCDC) and associate institutions, Uttar Pradesh has been the most affected state by heat this time, where 36 deaths have occurred. After that, the most side effects of heat have been seen in Bihar, Rajasthan, and Odisha. On June 18 alone, there have been six deaths due to heatstroke.
Rising heat problems
Union Health Minister JP Nadda on Wednesday directed that special heat units should be set up in all central government hospitals to take care of people falling ill due to heat.
Health experts say the risk of heatstroke has been seen the most in the rising heat. In this, the body temperature increases a lot, which is not controlled in time, it can cause the risk of death.
Effect of excessive heat on complete health
Doctors say heat can be fatal in many different ways. The first risk from this is dehydration. The body produces sweat to keep itself cool during the hot summer. However, if more water comes out of the body through sweat and urine and you do not drink enough water to compensate for it, then the blood starts to thicken. These conditions increase the possibility of clot freezing, which increases the risk of heart attack and stroke.
Fales can fail body cooling mechanisms
There are many mechanisms in the body to cool itself in response to high temperatures. As the skin is hot, blood temperature also increases. A part of the brain, called the hypothalamus, detects such changes and instructs to spread blood vessels in the skin. This brings more blood to the surface of the body and heats out up. Apart from this, the excess heat of the body comes out even when the sweat is evaporated.
However, in severe conditions of heatstroke and dehydration, the body's cooling mechanisms fail due to a lot of rise in the body temperature, which can be fatal.
The danger of organ failure also
Our body can tolerate temperatures up to 42–45 ° C. Prolonged in contact with this longer temperature can also cause a risk of damage to nerve cells and failure of organs due to heat stroke. Due to high temperatures, problems related to blood pressure also occur. There may be a risk of unconsciousness with low blood pressure.
If it is not treated on time, it can lead to a risk of heart failure.
