Cinnamon Increase Weight Loss: Cinnamon is obtained from the dry bark of the Cinnamomum zeylanicum tree. Its leaves are called bay leaves. That means both trees and leaves are used as spices in India. Cinnamon i.e. the bark of this tree is full of amazing medicinal powers. It is not us but science that believes this. Recently a research has been published in the prestigious journal Nutrients in which the miraculous properties of cinnamon have been told. According to research, cinnamon penetrates inside the fat cells of obese people and starts breaking them i.e. causes breakdown. It does the same with cholesterol also. Cinnamon contains so many types of compounds that it has anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, anti-diabetic, antioxidants and even anti-cancer properties. Studies have found that the properties present in cinnamon directly attack diabetes, high cholesterol and obesity.

In the research, the researchers divided the rats into two groups and fed them the compound obtained from cinnamon. After this, these rats were given a high fat diet due to which they developed adipocytes. That means storage of adipose tissue started in the body due to which it became fat.

A high-fat diet and a supplement of a compound extracted from cinnamon were given together for 14 weeks and every day it included measurements of adipocytes, serum triglycerides, total cholesterol, HDL, LDL i.e. good cholesterol, bad cholesterol, cardiac risk indicators, insulin, blood glucose, Lipid synthesis, liver etc. were checked regularly.

When the results were analyzed after 14 weeks, the researchers were surprised. The study found that due to the effect of cinnamon, the breakdown of adipose tissue i.e. obese fat started due to which the weight started decreasing rapidly. The best part was that cinnamon targeted only the adipose tissue of obese people. The simple meaning of this study is that if cinnamon powder is consumed for 14 weeks, fat will start melting.

Due to the effect of cinnamon, triglycerides, total cholesterol and bad cholesterol also started reducing. The study found that when cinnamon extract was given to rats, VLDL-C and triglycerides started decreasing after a few weeks. That means cinnamon is also very beneficial for the heart. It does not allow bad cholesterol to accumulate in the arteries. Enters its cells and starts breaking them down.

According to studies, cinnamon has anti-diabetic properties which stimulate the beta cells of the pancreas, due to which insulin is produced and the risk of insulin resistance is reduced. Due to the effect of all this, cinnamon does not allow the amount of sugar in the blood to increase.

Cinnamon has anti-inflammatory properties which reduces oxidative stress from cells due to which free cells are not formed in the cells. Chronic diseases occur due to oxidative stress. Due to its anti-cancer properties, cinnamon does not allow cancer cells to grow. That means, if cinnamon is consumed, the risk of many types of cancer reduces.
