IRCTC Package: IRCTC has started a unique package for Ram devotees, knowing about which the heart of every person who has dreamed of seeing Ramayana will be happy. In fact, on 7 April 2023, IRCTC is going to start the 'Shri Ramayana Yatra' through a special tourist train. Shri Ramayana Yatra is a theme-based pilgrimage tour by Bharat Gaurav Deluxe AC Tourist Train on Ramayana Circuit, which will cover the major holy places of Lord Rama on Ramayana Circuit.
Apart from this, IRCTC is also going to offer an extended alternate journey of the Ramayana route to Sri Lanka. The launch of Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train has been launched under the “Dekho Apna Desh” initiative of the Government of India to promote circuits of special interest in domestic tourism. The train will leave from Delhi's Safdarjung and cover places including Ayodhya, Janakpur, Sitamarhi, Buxar, Varanasi, Manikpur Junction, Nashik Road Hospate, Rameshwaram, Bhadrachalam Road, Nagpur, and then come back to Delhi.
According to IRCTC, the package will have 120 seats, of which 24 will be in the AC I coupe; the AC I cabin will have 48 seats and AC II will have 48 seats. Talking about boarding points, these include Delhi Safdarjung, Ghaziabad, Aligarh, Tundla, Etawah, Kanpur, and Lucknow. While the de-boarding stations include stops like Veerangana Laxmi Bai, Gwalior, Agra, and Mathura.
Total travel cost
For AC 1 coupe (24 seats), only double sharing is allowed and will cost ₹1,68,950/-. Whereas for AC 1 cabin (48 seats), the price will vary according to single, double, and triple sharing and will be between ₹ 1,61,645 to ₹ 1,35,500. , For AC 2(48 seats), the price will be between ₹1,29,165 to ₹1,03,020. Also for children in the age group of 5-11 years, the ticket price will be Rs 1,35,500 for AC 1 cabin and Rs 1,03,020 for AC 2.

Ramayana Tour: Sri Lanka
After visiting all the places in India, if a tourist wants to continue the journey of the Ramayana route in Sri Lanka, then he can directly go to Sri Lanka for the next part of the journey from Nagpur. The first journey will end at Nagpur Railway Station on April 23 and the train will leave for Delhi. On the other hand, tourists availing 5 nights/6 days Ramayana Trail in Sri Lanka tour will be dropped off at Nagpur International Airport for an onward journey to Colombo.
Destinations to be covered during Sri Lanka Tour-
Colombo, Dambulla, Trincomalee, Kandy and Nuwara Eliya. As per the itinerary, all meals will be included in this package. The total seats for this package are limited to 40 only. Coming to the flight details, on the 23rd, passengers will board flight 6E 6018 from Nagpur to Chennai at 10:20 hrs followed by a Sri Lanka Airlines flight from Chennai to Colombo.

Passengers are required to be double vaccinated for international travel. Whereas only one vaccinated or unvaccinated passenger will have to show RT-PCR negative report (at his own cost) 72 hours before the date of departure. Tourists may also be required to include their credentials in the Air Suvidha App of the Ministry of Civil Aviation, Government of India. Apart from this, the passport should have a validity of at least 6 months from the date of return to India.
