Actually, the structure inside the ear is very delicate. Its veins pass through the brain and throat. Therefore, let us know what are the reasons for ear pain, what are its symptoms and what is the solution to avoid it?

Why does ear pain occur?

In winter, people feel that there is pain in the ears only because of wind. But it is not so, there are some other reasons behind this. According to experts, there are two major reasons for ear pain. Firstly, the cold air hits the eardrum due to which the ear feels cold and starts hurting. To avoid this, a cap or muffler is usually used. This provides relief to the ears.

The main reason is swelling in the nose,

but its second reason is swelling in the nose during cold weather, blockage of the nose, mucus coming from the nose. There is an Eustachian tube between our ear and nose. This tube starts getting clogged due to mucus in the nose. Due to blockage of this tube, heaviness is felt in the ears, due to which itching and pain starts in the ears. As long as this problem remains minor, people do not pay attention to it, but as it increases, the pain starts increasing. This pain bothers more at night.

Blood may come from the ears!

When this pain increases, bleeding may also occur from the ear. Therefore, if there is pain in the ear, it should not be ignored. As soon as this happens, you should contact a doctor. So that it can be known in time whether there is any problem in the nose or throat. It is very common to have cold in winter. Due to which the chances of such infections increase. This is the reason why there is pain in the ears during cold days.

Do not ignore these symptoms

Infection in the tonsils

is a pharyngeal wall in the throat. Due to bacterial infection on this wall, red rashes appear. Sometimes this infection reaches the Eustachian tube. Due to which this infection spreads and pain starts in the ears.

Swelling in the nose for a long time:

Swelling in the nose occurs due to low temperature in winter and if it continues for a long time then bacteria and viruses start growing. Which weakens the immunity. Due to which ear problems may increase.

Prevention methods

1- Keep the body warm.

The best way to prevent this is to keep your body warm. Follow all the rules which are followed for cold and cough.

2- Keep delicate body parts warm.

To avoid ear pain, keep the soles of the feet, tip of the nose and ears warm. Because these are the delicate body parts from where cold enters the body, they help in maintaining the body temperature.

3- Eat hot food items:

Include hot food items in your diet in winter. Like- jaggery, sesame, dates, jam, dry fruits etc.

4- Consumption of hot drinks:

You can include drinks like tea-coffee, lukewarm milk, lukewarm water in your daily diet from time to time.

5- Avoid hard things.

Chewing hard things causes pain in the TM joint of the lower jaw and skull. These pains directly affect the ears. Therefore avoid eating hard things.
