IBD, since it is a problem related to digestive health, can cause many stomach problems. It is quite common to have frequent diarrhea because the affected part of the intestine is not able to absorb water properly. Apart from this, these problems also need to be taken care of.

Who is at risk of these problems?

Smoking is considered one of the main risk factors for Crohn's disease in IBD.

There is no specific treatment for IBD, but supportive treatment focuses on reducing inflammation and relieving symptoms. IBD often causes problems in different parts of the body, so the course of care also seeks to improve the quality of life for people with IBD. It can be controlled through medicines and lifestyle changes depending on the condition of the patient.
