Winters are coming closer, and the change in weather can be clearly seen, now there is no need to run AC at night, but despite running the fan at low speed, there is a need to cover yourself with a blanket. During this time, we all need to take special care of our health, otherwise health can deteriorate. According to Dr. Imran Ahmed, how can diseases be avoided during changing weather.
1. Eat healthy
The body needs extra nutrients in changing weather. In such a situation, include fresh fruits, vegetables, pulses and protein based food in your daily diet. Fruits rich in vitamin C, such as orange, lemon and amla, strengthen your immunity and help protect you from cold and cough.
2. Take care of warm water and hydration
In changing weather, we often need to drink less water, whereas keeping the body hydrated is equally important. For this, drink lukewarm water throughout the day. It helps in keeping the body warm from inside and also increases your metabolism. Also, it is helpful in moisturizing the throat and respiratory tract, which reduces the risk of infection.
3. Get enough sleep
The body needs proper rest and adequate sleep during the winter season. Adequate sleep helps in strengthening the immune system, which keeps your body ready to fight diseases. Sleep at least 7-8 hours daily so that you feel fresh and stay away from diseases.
4. Wear the right clothes
It is important to wear the right clothes according to the weather. When cold winds are blowing outside, use warm clothes. Especially keep the head, hands and feet covered, because the body temperature drops rapidly from these parts.
5. Exercise
It is important to keep the body active in this season. Do light exercise regularly, like yoga, walking, or stretching. It not only keeps your body warm but also strengthens your immunity.
