Due to increasing carbon emissions in the atmosphere, the average temperature of the Earth is increasing. Its direct impact is visible on climate change. Due to global warming, glaciers are melting, sea level is rising, biodiversity is being damaged, changes in weather cycles, etc. are causing many natural problems. Due to these reasons, there is record heat in various areas around the world, there are floods in some places and there is drought in places where there was greenery for a long time. Meanwhile, the Climate Monitoring Service of the European Union has released a report. According to the report, the month of April 2024 has been recorded as the hottest month on record so far. It has been told in this report that the average temperature in April was recorded at 15.03 degrees Celsius.
(1991 to 2020) This month was 0.67 degrees Celsius warmer than these three decades. It is also mentioned in the report that the month of April this year is 0.14 degrees Celsius warmer than April 2016. Earlier, the month of April 2016 was recorded as the hottest April month.
1850-1900 which was the initial period of industrialization. This was the time when there were not that many greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. The month of April 2024 has become 1.58 degrees Celsius warmer than the average temperature of 1850-1900.
According to scientists of the European Union's Climate Monitoring Service, El Nino had reached its highest level at the beginning of this year. Now the surface temperature of the Eastern Tropical Pacific Ocean is going into neutral condition.
Scientists have also said that El Nino is a natural phenomenon, due to which the temperature keeps increasing and decreasing. At the same time, greenhouse gases trapped in the atmosphere are becoming an additional factor, due to which a record increase in global temperature is being seen.
