This year, the Chaturthi date of Shukla Paksha of Bhadrapada month is starting on 18 September 2023 at 02:09 pm. It will end on September 19, 2023, at 3.13 pm. Ganesh Chaturthi will be celebrated on 19 September on the basis of Udaya Tithi. Ganeshotsav, which lasts for 10 days, will also begin from this day.
Auspicious time for the installation of Ganesh
The auspicious time for the installation of the Ganesh idol is on September 19 from 11.07 a.m. to 01.34 p.m. In such a situation, in this auspicious time, you can welcome Ganpati Bappa at your home.
Ganesh installation method
Wear clean clothes after taking a bath before setting up Ganpati on this day.
After this, apply Tilak on your forehead and sit on the seat facing east.
Keep in mind that the seat should not be cut or torn.
After this, install the idol of Lord Ganesha by spreading a red cloth on a wooden plank or wheat, moong, or jowar.
Place one betel nut each on the right and left side of the idol of Ganapati as a symbol of Riddhi-Siddhi.
Ganesh Chaturthi worship method
Keeping in mind the auspicious time of Ganesh Chaturthi date, first of all, keep the idol of Lord Ganesha in the north, east, or north-east part of your house.
Then take the worship material and sit on a pure seat.
First of all, make Lord Ganesha sit on the stool and make Navagraha, Shodash Matrika, etc.
Place the urn in the eastern part of the post and light a lamp in the southeast.
While sprinkling water on yourself, salute Lord Ganesha by saying Om Pundarikakshay Namah do Achaman three times, and apply Tilak on the forehead.
Take Gandha Akshat and flowers in your hand and meditate on Lord Ganesha by reciting the given mantra.
Invoke them with this mantra and give them asanas as well.
Always say Om Shriganeshay Namah on your tongue from the beginning till the end of the puja. Om Gan Ganpate Namah. Keep chanting the mantra continuously.
After the asana, give a bath to Lord Ganesha. If Panchamrit is available then it will be even better and if not then take a bath with pure water.
After that, offer clothes, sacred thread, sandalwood, Akshat, incense, lamp, naivedya, fruits, etc. whatever is available as per your capacity.
