If we look at it, the traffic jams on the roads have increased a lot in the last few years. This causes a lot of problems for the common people and if it rains, then a long traffic jam has become a common sight. In such a situation, imagine what will happen if an ambulance gets stuck in this jam. When there is a patient in the ambulance, he has to be taken to the hospital as soon as possible, for which the ambulance also moves fast and people also give it away. But do you know what can happen if you intentionally block the way of an ambulance? What action can be taken against you in such a situation? Is there any provision for a fine in this, etc.? So let's know about this...

Giving way is important
If you are driving your vehicle on the road and you see that an ambulance is coming with a siren, then you should give it away. Never make the mistake of intentionally blocking its way. If you do this, you can even go to jail.

What does the rule say?

One should never block the way of an ambulance because doing so can lead to the death of a patient. Therefore, the rule for this is that according to Section 194E of the Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Act, 2019, if a person blocks the way of an ambulance, he can be jailed for up to 6 months or fined Rs 10,000 or both.

Here also understand that the same rule applies to obstructing the way of emergency vehicles specified by the fire service, and state government. Therefore, if you ever see an ambulance sounding a siren, give it way. Action can be taken under the rules against those who do not give way.

Anyway, when you drive a vehicle on the road, you have to follow the road and traffic rules. If you do not do this, then a challan can be issued for your vehicle. Therefore, if you do not want your challan to be cut, then drive a four-wheeler with a seat belt and a two-wheeler with a helmet.
