Saffron is beneficial for diabetic patients
According to research published in the January 2022 edition of the journal 'Diabetes and Metabolic Syndrome: Clinical Research and Reviews', eating saffron modulates inflammatory pathways present in the body of diabetic patients. Due to this, there is stagnation in the complications related to diabetes.

Saffron has many medicinal properties
Saffron is a plant with medicinal properties that are specially grown in Eastern countries and the Middle East. In India, it is produced in Kashmir. Which is dangerous for diabetics.

There has been a lot of research on diabetes

Facts emerging from the study
1. Research finds that inflammatory biomarkers are largely responsible for complications associated with diabetes
2. Diabetes patients can be protected from future problems by using saffron.

Diabetic patients should eat saffron
The research author said, "The results of these studies suggest that saffron supplementation and its anti-inflammatory properties can inhibit inflammatory pathways in diabetic patients."

Why is saffron so expensive?
Saffron is produced in India only in some districts of Jammu and Kashmir, the rest is exported from abroad. Because of this, its price is very high. In India, for 1 kg of saffron, a price of more than Rs 1 lakh has to be paid.
