The tourism department of the Bihar government will give grants to investors to open dhabas, restaurants, or hotels on the side of the highway. This grant will be from 10 lahks to 50 lakh rupees.

Applications can start in October

The application process for this is expected to start in October. Apart from this, it is also expected that after completing the documents-related process in November, an order can be given to start the work in December.

These are the general terms

The one who wants to open a dhaba, restaurant, or hotel on the side of the highway should have one and a half acres, one acre, or half an acre of land there. However, there is also a provision that if there is no owned land then it can be taken on lease.

And 5000 square feet minimum area is mandatory for Food Plaza. There should be a seating arrangement for 50 to 60 people.

Apart from this, an important condition is that the person who opens a hotel, dhaba, or restaurant on the highway side will have to make parking in 10,000 square feet of space.

This scheme is for many districts of Bihar

Many districts of Bihar are being included under this scheme. There are plans to open two premiers and two basic restaurants on the Patna-Gaya highway. There are plans to open more than 10 dhabas, restaurants, hotels, etc. on the highway leading from Patna to different districts.

Under this scheme, a large number of dhabas will be opened on the routes of Gopalganj, Supaul, Muzaffarpur, Darbhanga, Purnia, and Kishanganj. Hotels, dhabas, and restaurants will be opened on the highway in other districts of the state like Bhagalpur, Vaishali, Jamui, Banka, Gopalganj, Saran, Siwan, and many other districts.
