This scheme is run by the central government and it is a health scheme. At present crores of people are associated with this scheme. Under this Ayushman scheme, firstly Ayushman cards are made for eligible people and after this, the card holders can get free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh in the listed hospitals.
If needed, you can avail the benefit of free treatment like this:-
Step 1
If your Ayushman card has been made and you are sick or need any treatment, then you can get free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh through this card.
For this first, you have to go to the hospital
Find out here whether this hospital is registered under Ayushman Yojana or not.
Step 2
If the hospital is registered in the scheme, then fine, otherwise go to a hospital which is registered in the scheme
After this, you will have to go to the Ayushman Mitra help desk in the hospital.
Then show your Ayushman card here
Step 3
After this, your identity is verified
Then if everything is found correct, you can avail the free treatment.
The government bears the entire cost of your treatment.
