Owners of top IPL teams have offered up to Rs 50 crore to six English players to give up international cricket and play T20 leagues for a year. This has been revealed in the report of 'Times London'. According to reports, many franchises are trying to sign players on year-long contracts. Under this agreement, players will have to play in different T20 leagues throughout the year. Apart from IPL, it also includes CPL of West Indies, South Africa T20 League, UAE's Global T20 League and T20 League to be held in America. Many of the 10 IPL franchises have teams in all these leagues. However, the report did not specify which players have been approached by which franchise.

It has been told in the report that if a player accepts this deal, then his responsibility and accountability towards the IPL franchise will be before international cricket. This player will have to get permission from the franchise to play international for his country. This is what is happening in football at the moment. At the same time, in cricket, the players of every country play according to the cricket board of their country and take permission from the board to participate in the T20 league.
The popularity of T20 cricket is very high and the interest of the audience in T10 is also increasing. The ICC is looking to frame a rule on how many T20 leagues a player can participate in in a year, but as of now there is no such rule. However, there is every possibility that many young players may take premature retirement from international cricket and play T20 leagues to earn money. Currently players like New Zealand's Trent Boult and Guptill have given up their central contracts of their cricket boards to play in T20 leagues.

The report also states that several Australian players have already been contacted in this matter. Now the players of England have been talked about in this matter. Players have been offered Rs 20-50 crore for a one-year contract, which is up to five times more than the top players getting central contracts from the England Cricket Board.

Test players for England are currently reluctant to accept offers from any IPL franchise, but huge sums have been offered to these players. In such a situation, there is always a possibility of the players accepting the offer. Apart from this, players can enter into partial contracts with their country's cricket board and IPL franchise. In this situation, the players will play for the T20 league at fixed times and for the country in the rest of the time. Especially players playing T20 cricket are more likely to accept such contracts.
