Among them, three Sri Lankan cricketers Wanindu Hasaranga (Royal Challengers Bangalore), Mahish Teekshana and Mathisha Pathirana (both Chennai Super Kings) are immediately busy playing matches for their country and due to this they will not be available for the first few matches of IPL 2023. Sri Lanka is currently on a tour of New Zealand, where they are busy in the white ball series. On April 8, Sri Lanka will play the last T20 match of their tour against New Zealand. Only after that Sri Lankan players will be able to come and play in IPL. Apart from these three, there is one player Bhanuka Rajapaksa, who will play for Punjab Kings, he is available for the entire IPL season.
