TATA IPL 2023: The 16th season of the Indian Premier League is going to start on 31 March. Before the start of the tournament, here are 5 players who will be ruled out of the tournament due to injury.

Pant: Pant met with a fatal car accident on his way to his hometown Roorkee. Due to which he suffered a ligament injury and has been sidelined since then. Delhi Capitals have made David Warner the captain in Pant's absence.


Jonny Bairstow: Bairstow is one of the deadliest batsmen in the T20 format. However, Bairstow had to undergo foot surgery, due to which he could not play the entire tournament. Matt Short has replaced him in the Punjab Kings team.


Kyle Jamieson: Kyle Jamieson has been ruled out of IPL 2023 due to a back injury. Jamieson, who was bought by CSK during the mini-auction, is to undergo surgery, which will keep him out of the game for four months. However, CSK has included South African fast bowler Sisanda Magala in his place.


Shreyas Iyer: Kolkata Knight Riders will miss Shreyas Iyer as the batsman has been ruled out of the tournament due to a back injury. Due to his absence, KKR star batsman Nitish Rana has been made the captain of the franchise.
