Mahendra Singh Dhoni is one of the great finishers in the world. Dhoni has won many matches for the Indian team and his IPL team Chennai Super Kings with his bat. But there is one match in which Dhoni missed coming very close. On Monday, when Chennai will face Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL-2023 match at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Dhoni will go to heal his same old wound.
Actually, this is about the year 2019. On April 21 that year, an IPL match was played between Chennai and Bangalore at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in which Bangalore won by one run. After this match, both the teams will now clash at Chinnaswamy and Dhoni would like to make up for that one-run defeat.
Dhoni could not win
In that match, while batting first, Bangalore scored 161 runs losing seven wickets. For him, any one batsman had scored a half-century. Parthiv Patel scored 53 runs in 37 balls with the help of two fours and four sixes. This target was not difficult seeing the pitch of Chinnaswamy but still Chennai lost the match by one run.

The start of Chennai was very bad. Shane Watson, Faf du Plessis and Suresh Raina returned to the pavilion early. Ambati Rayudu had scored 29 runs but the real magic was played by Dhoni. Dhoni showed his finishing style and scored a half-century. He scored an unbeaten 84 off 48 balls with the help of five fours and seven sixes but missed out on winning the team by one run. The Chennai team could only score 160 runs after losing eight wickets.
Will calculate equally
Dhoni fought alone for Chennai in that match. But still, the victory was not destined. Dhoni was very disappointed by this. Now on April 17 i.e. after 1457 days, he would like to settle the account of that defeat. Dhoni is also seen in his old colors this season, so it will not be surprising if he scores runs with his bat to heal his old wounds.
