With this victory, the Lucknow team has kept its hopes of going to the playoffs alive. Hyderabad, electing to bat first after winning the toss, scored 182 runs for 6 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. After this, the batsmen of Lucknow won by scoring 185 runs for 3 wickets. The team has now reached the fourth position in the points table.

Nicolas won by playing a fiery innings

Chasing the target of 183 runs from Hyderabad, Lucknow got off to a slow start. At one time it seemed that the Hyderabad team would easily win, but Nicholas Pooran rained sixes in the last few overs to give victory to Lucknow. Puran played an unbeaten inning of 44 runs in 13 balls, which included 4 sixes and 3 fours. Apart from these, Prerak Mankad scored an unbeaten 64 while scoring a half-century. His innings included 7 fours and 2 sixes. Marcus Stoinis also scored 40 runs, while Quinton Dickock was dismissed after scoring 29 runs. Hyderabad's bowlers did not get many opportunities, Glenn Phillips, Mayank Markande, and Abhishek Sharma got 1-1 wickets for the team.

Good batting from Klaasen-Samad

Batting first, Sunrisers Hyderabad gave a target of 183 runs to Lucknow Super Giants. Heinrich Klaasen scored the maximum 47 runs for Hyderabad. Although he remained 3 runs away from the half-century, he made good shots in this innings. His innings included 3 fours and 3 sixes. Apart from these, opener Anmolpreet Singh also played an inning of 36 runs. Rahul Tripathi returned to the pavilion after scoring 20 and captain Eden Markram 28, while Abdul Samad scored an unbeaten 37, hitting 4 sixes and 1 four. Due to them, the team could reach 182 runs after losing 6 wickets. Captain Krunal Pandya took a maximum of 2 wickets for Lucknow, while Yudhveer Singh, Yash Thakur, Avesh Khan, and Amit Mishra got 1-1 wickets.
