The 51st match of IPL 2023 is being played between Gujarat Titans and Lucknow Super Giants at the Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium in Ahmedabad. In this match, Gujarat batted first and scored 227 runs at the loss of 2 wickets. This is Gujarat's biggest score in IPL. Both openers Wriddhiman Saha and Shubman Gill had an important contribution in helping Gujarat reach this score. Both of them added 142 runs in 12.1 overs for the first wicket. This is the second-highest partnership for the first wicket in this season of IPL.

Saha created a ruckus in the powerplay. He had completed his 50 runs in just 20 balls. Gujarat Titans hit 78 runs without losing a wicket in the powerplay. Out of this, 54 runs came out of Saha's bat alone. This is the biggest score of any batsman in powerplay this season. Earlier, Kyle Myers had hit 54 runs in 22 balls against Punjab Kings. Saha was dismissed after scoring 81 runs in 43 balls. He hit 10 fours and 4 sixes in his innings.
When the turn of fielding came, Wriddhiman Saha was not entering the field for wicketkeeping. For this reason, the second innings started late. Maybe he was hurt. There was a long talk between the umpire and Gujarat captain Hardik Pandya about this. Meanwhile, KS Bharat was also standing ready wearing a wicketkeeping kit.
