IPL chairman Arun Dhumal is mostly seen just watching the match during the match. But in today's match, he himself had to enter the field and appeal to the people to go out. He came down to the field after the blackout and started asking people to go out. According to the match officials, the match had to be canceled due to security reasons.
Punjab Kings were in a strong position
The Punjab team had scored 122 runs for one wicket in 10.1 overs when the lights went out but the reason for this was first told to be a 'floodlight' malfunction. But later the teams and spectators were evacuated from the stadium for their safety.
