Punjab Kings were in a strong position

The Punjab team had scored 122 runs for one wicket in 10.1 overs when the lights went out but the reason for this was first told to be a 'floodlight' malfunction. But later the teams and spectators were evacuated from the stadium for their safety. Prabhsimran Singh was batting on 50 runs off 28 balls while his opening partner Priyansh Arya was dismissed by fast bowler T Natarajan after scoring 70 runs off 34 balls, after which the game had to be stopped immediately.

Tension between India and Pakistan increased

India attacked 9 terrorist bases in Pakistan on the night of 7 May. In which more than 40 terrorists of Pakistan were killed. This was a befitting reply to Pakistan for the incident in Pahalgam (in which 26 civilians were killed). The tension increased so much that Pakistan started bombing India from the evening of 8 May. There is now an atmosphere of tension between the two countries.
