The BCCI has issued an official statement stating that Axar Patel has been ruled out of the fourth and fifth T20Is against South Africa. This decision was made due to Patel's illness. Shahbaz Ahmed has been included in Team India as Axar Patel's replacement for the fourth and fifth T20Is.
The fourth T20I between India and South Africa will be played in Lucknow on December 17. The fifth and final match of the series will be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on December 19. After three games, the Indian team leads the series 2-1.
