Yesterday i.e. on June 6, the Prime Minister of the country Narendra Modi flagged off the Katra-Srinagar Vande Bharat Express train. Let us tell you that this is the first semi high speed train of Kashmir Valley. This will not only increase the railway connectivity in the Kashmir Valley but will also promote tourism.

Let us tell you that this train is a part of the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link (USBRL) project. Which started in the year 1997. Now after 28 years, this 272 km project has been fully operational.

The Vande Bharat Express starting from Katra will cover the distance of 190 km to Srinagar in just 3 hours. Earlier it used to take 5 to 6 hours to complete this journey by road. Today, from 7th June, this train has started for the general public.

Let us tell you that currently around 140 Vande Bharat Express trains are being operated in the country. Which pass through different parts of the country. But this Vande Bharat Express running from Katra Srinagar is different from all those trains. It has different facilities..

Let us tell you that this Vande Bharat train running in Kashmir will run on such a route. Where there will be high mountains, tunnels and bridges. That is why advanced safety technology and special braking systems have been installed in it. Along with this, anti-snow and climate friendly technology has also been added to it.

Apart from this, special arrangements have been made for security in this Vande Bharat Express. The train will also have GPS tracking along with CCTV monitoring. At the same time, Railway Protection Force commandos will also be deployed in the train. Which are not there in Vande Bharat of any other route.

This Vande Bharat Express passing through Kashmir will pass through the world's highest railway bridge, the Arch Bridge. Apart from this, it will also pass through India's longest tunnel, the Pir Panjal Tunnel. Traveling in it will definitely be a memorable experience for the passengers.
