Happy Birthday Sachin: Master-blaster turns 52, Yuvi-Bhajji also wished him

India's greatest cricketer and 'God of Cricket' Sachin Tendulkar has turned 52. The master-blaster is celebrating his 52nd birthday today i.e. on 24 April 2025 and on this special day, he is receiving congratulatory messages from all over the world. Apart from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), former cricketers Yuvraj Singh and Harbhajan Singh also wished this icon a happy birthday.

Yuvraj Singh wrote a special birthday message for Sachin Tendulkar by sharing a special video of him from his official X account. Yuvi wrote in his post, "He was my hero since childhood, when he didn't even know my name. Then one day, I walked into the dressing room and saw him there. The Master himself. But what stayed with me was not just his greatness. It was his grace. For all the centuries, the cheers, the weight of a billion expectations, he bore it all with immense humility. Happy birthday Master. You didn't just play the game. You taught us how to deal with it. Lots of love always. Sachin Tendulkar."

Yuvraj's teammate Harbhajan Singh also congratulated Sachin on his special day through his Instagram. Bhajji wrote on Instagram, "Happy Birthday to the great Sachin Tendulkar. Sachin paaji, you are not just an icon of cricket but a true symbol of humility, dedication and excellence. Your journey has inspired many generations, not only on the field but also off it. With your decency, honesty and tireless commitment to the game and society. On this special occasion, I wish you the best of health, happiness and continued success in all your endeavours."

Let us tell you that Tendulkar made his Test debut on November 15, 1989 at the age of 16. Exactly a month later, on December 18, he played his first ODI. During his illustrious career, he scored 34,357 runs in 664 international matches at an average of 48.52. Which made him the highest run scorer in international cricket. He holds the record for most centuries (100) and half-centuries (164) across all formats and is the only player to score a century of centuries.

If we talk about Sachin's ODI career, Tendulkar scored 18,426 runs in ODIs alone at an average of 44.83, which includes 49 centuries and 96 half-centuries. In Tests, he scored 15,921 runs at an average of 53.78, which includes 51 centuries and 68 half-centuries. He is also the first player to score a double century in ODIs and the only cricketer to play 200 Test matches.
