This action was taken following an inspection conducted on August 28th. According to officials, regulations regarding the separation of wet and dry waste were not followed at many locations. Furthermore, banned single-use plastic was also being used. This led to fines ranging from ₹5,000 to ₹25,000 being imposed on the outlets.

- Chaska Bun was fined the highest amount of Rs 25,000.
- McDonald's, Burger King and Fish & Chips were fined Rs 10,000 each.
