The Delhi Police Crime Branch has summoned Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) leaders Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka for questioning today. The questioning will begin at 12 noon at the Crime Branch office in Rajouri Garden. Both leaders arrived at the Crime Branch office around 11:15 am.

The Delhi Police Crime Branch is investigating cases of disobeying government orders, entering Jantar Mantar without permission, and trespassing on someone else's property. It is believed they will be questioned in these cases. Earlier in October, the Delhi Police summoned CJP leaders Sourav Das and Ashutosh Ranka. However, they did not appear at that time and later requested more time to appear before the Crime Branch for questioning.

Cases related to the protests were handed over to the Crime Branch.

The protest cases against CJP leaders were transferred to the Crime Branch in October. These cases relate to the October 13 incident, when CJP leaders Das, Ranka, and Ajinkya Shinde, along with 11 others, entered Jantar Mantar. All of them were detained by the Delhi Police. Shinde was released on bail after signing a bond to maintain peace, while Das and Ranka remained in judicial custody for a week. However, Das and Ranka were later released on October 21 on bail bonds of ₹50,000 each, subject to their submission of written statements before the Special Executive Magistrate (SEM). Das and Ranka assured that they would maintain peace and would not call for protests at Jantar Mantar until the venue was reauthorized for protests as per law.
