Biryani By Kilo which was started in 2015 is now going to be sold. The journey of 10 years has been great, but now this biryani has got a new buyer. Actually Devyani International is going to buy this company. Devyani International runs brands like KFC, Pizza Hut and Costa Coffee in India. Now the name of Biryani by Kilo has been included in its list.

Vishal Jindal and Kaushik Roy started their startup in Gurgaon. Both of them, who had big degrees, had to face a lot of criticism when they started selling biryani, but they were confident that their taste would work its magic and that is what happened. The business of biryani by kilo started running in a few years. In the cloud kitchen, biryani is made in a handi as per the order and then it is served in the handi itself.

Biryani By Kilo started small, but both the founders of the company had big dreams. In the initial months, the brand was able to sell only a few lakh rupees worth of biryani, but Vishal and Kaushik were confident that they would be able to make a mark in the food industry. They started serving the taste with four varieties of biryani. Biryani By Kilo won people over with Hyderabadi, Lucknowi, Kolkata and Guntur.  

More than 100 outlets in 45 cities  

According to media reports, the company now generates a fantastic revenue of Rs 22-25 crore every month. Biryani by Kilo operates more than 100 outlets in more than 45 cities of the country. In ten years, the valuation of the company has reached Rs 8,94,50,01,019.  

Who are the new buyers?  

Devyani International has made a big move by buying Biryani by Kilo. The company has more than 900 KFC stores and more than 580 Pizza Hut stores in India, Nepal and Nigeria. There are more than 190 Costa Coffee cafes and more than 70 Vaango stores. Now the company is entering the traditional food business of India. The popularity of Biryani in India is not hidden from anyone, now by buying Biryani by Kilo they want to strengthen their hold in this category, although the information about the price of this deal has not been revealed.
