Big Relief for Government Employees and Pensioners – DA Increased by 2%

Government Approves 2% Hike in Dearness Allowance for Employees and Pensioners

In a significant move, the Rajasthan government has announced a 2% increase in Dearness Allowance (DA) for state employees and Dearness Relief (DR) for pensioners. This decision follows the central government's recent approval of a similar 2% DA hike for its employees and retirees, bringing relief to millions.

When Will Employees Receive the Revised Salary?

Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma approved the Finance Department’s proposal on Tuesday, benefiting approximately 8 lakh state government employees and 4.4 lakh pensioners. Employees working under Panchayat Samitis and Zila Parishads will also receive the increased DA.

📌 Key Highlights of the DA Hike:

  • The increased Dearness Allowance will be reflected in April 2025 salaries, payable in May 2025.
  • Arrears from January to March 2025 will be deposited into employees' General Provident Fund (GPF) accounts.

This decision ensures that state employees and pensioners receive additional financial support amidst rising inflation. The Rajasthan government’s move aligns with the central government’s initiative, ensuring better income stability for its workforce.
