Bhopal Love Trap Racket Busted: Girls Lured, Raped, Filmed and Blackmailed; FIRs Filed in 3 Police Stations

A shocking sex scandal reminiscent of the infamous 1992 Ajmer case has come to light in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. At the center of the crime is a racket operating from TIT College, where several girl students were allegedly lured into relationships, raped, filmed without consent, and then blackmailed by threats to leak the videos.

So far, FIRs have been filed at three separate police stations, prompting the formation of a Special Investigation Team (SIT) by Bhopal Police. The incident has sparked outrage across the city.

The Modus Operandi

According to the police, a male student from TIT College first befriended a fellow girl student, gained her trust, and then raped her—filming the act without her consent. Later, he used the video to blackmail her, forcing her to bring her friends, who were then also assaulted and recorded in similar fashion.

The accused, along with his friends, allegedly targeted multiple girls using this pattern and extorted money from the victims as well.

Victim Breaks Silence on April 18

The scandal began to unravel when one of the victims, showing immense courage, approached the police on April 18 and filed a complaint. Following her lead, three more girls filed similar complaints in different police stations.

Some of the victims also alleged that the accused used religion as a tool for harassment, drawing uncomfortable parallels to controversial narratives like those seen in The Kerala Story.

Two Arrested, More Under Watch

The SIT has so far arrested two accused:

  • Farhan Khan, a student of TIT College from Jahangirabad.
  • Mohammad Saad, a private employee from Ashoka Garden.

During the investigation, the police recovered multiple objectionable videos from the accused's phones, including footage of at least two sisters from Betul, and clips containing objectionable remarks against Hinduism.

Looking Back: Ajmer 1992

The case has disturbing similarities to the 1992 Ajmer gang rape case, where several girls from a reputed school were raped, filmed, and blackmailed by a group led by Farooq and Nafees Chishti. The Bhopal case has reignited memories of that horrific incident.

Investigation Ongoing

Bhopal Police is actively pursuing other suspects involved in the racket. Commissioner Harinarayanchari Mishra has assured strict action and urged any other victims to come forward.
