Nicholas Pooran reaches Mumbai, says 'Jai Maharashtra' as soon as he lands

The Lucknow Super Giants team has reached Mumbai for the match against Mumbai Indians. Both the teams will face each other at Wankhede in Mumbai on Sunday 27th April. As soon as the players of Lucknow reached Mumbai airport, their fun started and in this episode, young batsman Arshin Kulkarni also made fellow player Nicholas Pooran chant 'Jai Maharashtra'.

In the video shared by the Super Giants on social media, it can be seen that Pooran is loudly chanting 'Jai Maharashtra'. The West Indies batsman, who scored 377 runs in IPL 2025, is the second-highest run-scorer this season. The left-handed batsman has scored runs at a strike rate of 204.89 and an average of 47.12, as well as scoring four half-centuries.

However, Pooran has managed to score only 28 runs in the last three matches and is expected to perform well in the upcoming match as well. The Super Giants defeated Mumbai Indians at the Ekana International Stadium, but Mumbai Indians have registered four consecutive wins this season, including two wins at home.

Rohit Sharma has performed brilliantly in the last two matches against Chennai Super Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad, scoring quick half-centuries. With four consecutive wins, they have reached the third position in the points table. Meanwhile, the performance of the Super Giants has been quite poor, in which Rishabh Pant has been the biggest factor. Pant has made a record of getting out on zero three times. In such a situation, it will be interesting to see how he and his team perform against Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium.
