Method for making okra vegetable

  • Ladyfinger – 500 grams 
  • Red chilli powder – 1 tsp
  • Amchur (dry mango powder) – 1 tsp
  • Coriander powder – 1 tsp
  • Cumin powder – 1/2 tsp
  • Garam masala – 1/2 tsp
  • salt to taste
  • Oil 
  • Onion (optional)

 

Method

 

There would hardly be anyone who does not like to eat bhindi ki sabji. To make this, first of all wash the bhindi thoroughly. Keep in mind that you have to wash the bhindi before cutting it, otherwise it will get spoiled.

 

 

 

After washing the ladyfinger thoroughly, cut it into long and thin pieces and dry its moisture. After this, heat oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds to it and fry lightly.

 

 

 

If you are adding onions, then after roasting cumin seeds, add finely chopped onions and let them turn golden. After this, add chopped ladyfinger and add some salt to it. Cook it covered for 5 minutes.

 

 

 

When it is cooked a little, add red chili powder, coriander powder, dry mango powder and other spices. Mix all the spices well and cover it.

 

Cook it without covering it for 10 minutes. Just keep stirring it in between so that it does not stick to the pan. Check after ten minutes, if the ladyfinger is cooked properly then turn off the gas and serve it hot.
