Best Phone Camera: Until now, people considered the iPhone to be the best in camera technology. However, in the latest global camera test, a new Motorola phone has surpassed even the iPhone 18 Pro. Find out which one is number one.

Motorola Signature 27
Best Phone Camera: Whenever a phone's camera is praised, the first name that comes to most people's minds is Apple's iPhone. People blindly assume that nothing can surpass the iPhone in terms of photo and video quality. But this time, a major upset has been witnessed. Motorola's new flagship smartphone, the Motorola Signature 27, has surprised everyone with its camera quality, surpassing the iPhone 18 Pro.
This impressive Motorola phone has secured second place in the latest global rankings by DXOMARK, a renowned website that evaluates smartphone cameras worldwide. From taking photos to recording videos, this phone performed exceptionally well on every front. Let's explain how this Motorola phone achieved this feat and who occupies the number one spot in the rankings.
Motorola beats the iPhone.
The Motorola Signature 27 has captured the attention of tech enthusiasts worldwide by achieving a total of 173 points in DxOMark's rigorous camera test. The phone scored equally well in both photography and videography categories, scoring 173 points each. Apple's latest iPhone 18 Pro, on the other hand, only managed 172 points in this test, falling one point behind the Motorola.
The OPPO Find X9 Ultra ranked even lower on the list with 170 points. Now, the question arises as to who holds the number one spot in this global camera ranking. Only the Huawei Pura 80 Ultra, which ranked first globally with 175 points, surpasses Motorola.
How did Motorola perform in portrait photos and low light?
The Motorola Signature 27's Portrait mode received the most praise in this camera test. According to the report, human images taken with this phone show natural skin tones, and fine facial details are clearly visible. Even when taking group photos with friends and family, the camera keeps everyone standing at different distances in perfect focus.
Furthermore, even with 3x optical zoom and 6x zoom, the picture quality remains crisp and the images are crystal clear. This phone also performed exceptionally well in nighttime and low-light photography. Even in difficult lighting conditions, it captures photos with accurate exposure and true colors, while keeping graininess under control. Even when shooting videos, its autofocus and color balance remain stable.
Strong camera hardware
Motorola's impressive performance is due to its robust camera hardware. The Motorola Signature 27 features a triple camera setup on the rear, featuring a 50-megapixel Sony Lytia 910 primary sensor, a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera. For selfies, the phone also features a 50-megapixel front camera and a large 7000mAh battery.
Some deficiencies were found in the test.
Despite these strengths, DxOMark also points out some minor shortcomings with the camera. According to the report, fine details may be slightly lost when zooming in on a photo of a very distant object. Additionally, slight motion blur and noise may be observed when taking photos and videos of rapidly moving subjects in pitch darkness. Despite this, overall, this camera phone outperforms the iPhone 18 Pro.
