Fake Loan Apps: The Government of India has issued an important warning for Android users across the country. The government organization 'Cyber Dost' (Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Center I4C working under the Home Ministry) which monitors cyber crime has said that there are many financial apps available on Google Play Store which look real but in reality they are made to steal your personal information and money.
These apps have also been linked to some enemy countries which are using them to target the financial details of Indian users. Cyber Dost recently shared a list of these suspicious apps on X (formerly Twitter) which are advised to be deleted immediately.

Before downloading any app, check its validity.
Use only loan apps approved by RBI.

Another alert issued recently
In another warning issued recently by the government, it was told that if the internet is on while making a call on the mobile, then some apps can record your phone conversation. A police officer said that by going to Google Chrome settings, it can be found out which apps are allowed microphone access. Fake financial apps can not only put your privacy at risk but can also empty your bank account.
