Customers may be wondering whether banks will be open today, a Saturday, the day before Diwali. According to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) holiday calendar, banks will remain open across India today, November 7, 2026.

According to RBI rules, banks are only closed on the second and fourth Saturdays. Since today is the first Saturday of November, all public and private banks across the country will remain open as usual, and banking operations will continue. As already reported, banking operations will continue as normal. Customer hours will generally be from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. However, online banking, Unified Payments Interface (UPI) transactions, and mobile banking services will remain available 24/7. Customers of SBI, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Punjab National Bank, and other public and private sector banks can conduct their daily transactions through internet banking and mobile banking apps.
