Dr. Subhash Goyal explains that warts are formed due to the human papillomavirus present on the skin. Although they are usually not harmful, if they are not treated on time, they can increase. The good thing is that with the help of some simple home remedies, you can reduce them and make your skin clean and beautiful again. 

 

 

Main causes of warts

  • Viral infection – Infection with the human papilloma virus (HPV)
  • Weak immune system – When the immunity is weak, the skin becomes prone to infections
  • Cuts or injuries on the skin – the virus can enter through contact with an infected surface
  • Unhygienic habits – touching face with dirty hands, using dirty towels

Lemon juice 

  • The vitamin C and citric acid present in lemon help to slowly dry out warts
  • Take fresh lemon juice on a cotton ball
  • Apply on the wart for 5 minutes
  • Repeat this process twice a day

garlic paste

  • The allicin compound present in garlic has antiviral properties, which help eliminate the wart-causing virus
  • Grind 1 clove of garlic
  • Apply the paste on the wart and tie it with a bandage
  • Do it every night before sleeping

Aloe vera gel 

  • Aloe vera has anti-inflammatory and antiviral properties, which gradually reduce the wart while cooling the skin
  • Cut a fresh aloe vera leaf and extract the gel
  • Apply on the wart twice a day

Baking Soda and Castor Oil

  • The alkalinity of baking soda and the moisturizing properties of castor oil help dry out and eliminate warts

  • Mix 2 drops of castor oil in 1 teaspoon of baking soda
  • Apply the paste on the wart and leave it for 15–20 minutes
  • Wash with lukewarm water
