35-year-old Sri Lankan cricketer hits 6 sixes in 1 over for the second time, scores stormy 108 runs in 36 balls

Former Sri Lankan cricketer Thisara Perera has made such a blast with the bat that he has come into the limelight. He was in great form during the 2025 Asian Legends League eliminator match between Sri Lankan Lions and Afghanistan Pathan in Udaipur on Saturday. During this, Thisara Perera created history by hitting six consecutive sixes in the 20th over bowled by spinner Ayan Khan.

This legendary all-rounder played a fiery innings of 108 runs in just 36 balls. He hit 13 sixes and two fours during his entertaining innings. However, let us tell you that this is not the first time that 35-year-old Perera has hit six sixes in professional cricket. Perera hit six sixes for Army Sports Cricket Club against Bloomfield Cricket and Athletic Club in Sri Lanka Cricket's Major Club Tournament in 2021.

That tournament is a List-A tournament in Sri Lanka. Talking about this match, Sri Lanka won the toss and opted to bat first against Afghanistan. Apart from Perera, right-handed batsman Mevan Fernando (81) also scored a half-century. Thanks to the innings of both, Sri Lanka scored a huge score of 230/3 in 20 overs.

In reply, Afghanistan Pathan's team could only score 204/4 after their 20 overs and lost the match by 26 runs. Perera was named Player of the Match for his stormy innings. He announced his retirement from international cricket in May 2021.
