Virat Kohli on his Favourite ODI Innings
On the occasion of Virat Kohli's 38th birthday, Star Sports shared a video of a conversation with the cricketer. Kohli was asked to choose the best of his two ODI innings, which he chose, then another memorable one, and then he was asked to choose one. Among the many centuries he scored, he chose the one in which he didn't even score 50 runs.
Virat Kohli was first presented with his unbeaten 133 against Sri Lanka in 2012 and his 35 against Sri Lanka in the 2011 ODI World Cup final. Kohli chose the 35 as his best.
His 35-run innings in the World Cup final was placed above his 85-run innings against Australia in 2023, 122-run innings against England in 2017, and 160-run innings against South Africa in 2018.
The innings of 43 runs was chosen as the best.
Virat Kohli chose his 43-run knock against England in the 2013 Champions Trophy final as the best over his 35-run knock in the 2011 World Cup final.
Following that memorable 43-run innings, he was given the option of his 183 against Pakistan in 2012, his 138 against South Africa in 2015, and his 107 against Pakistan in 2015. But each time, he chose the 43-run innings, which he chose as his best ODI innings.
