India vs England 3rd ODI: India's star batsman Virat Kohli played an innings of 52 runs in 55 balls in the third and final ODI against England at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Wednesday (12 February), in which he hit seven fours and a six. Kohli returned to the pavilion after being dismissed by Adil Rashid for the second consecutive match. During this half-century innings, Kohli made some amazing records.

Fastest 16000 runs in Asia

In his half-century, Kohli completed 16000 international runs in Asia and he has become the fastest player to reach this figure. Kohli achieved this milestone in 340 innings, surpassing Sachin Tendulkar, who had played 353 innings for this.

4000 runs against most countries

Kohli completed his 4000 runs against England. He has come at the joint first position in terms of scoring 4000 or more runs against most countries in international cricket. Kohli has earlier done this feat against Australia and Sri Lanka. Kohli equaled Ricky Ponting, who had scored 4000 or more runs in international cricket against England, India and South Africa.

However, Kohli missed the world record of fastest 14000 runs in ODIs by 27 runs. Kohli could not play in the first ODI due to injury and was out after scoring just 5 runs in the second ODI.
