According to doctors, apart from Vitamin C and Iron, red chilli has a special antioxidant property. However, this chilli is available in the market only for two months of the year. Red chilli is available from February to March. After this, its quantity gradually decreases. But, if it is used in the form of pickle or jam, it lasts for 6-8 months easily.

 

Cancer-preventive properties in red chillies

Dr. Sumit Rawat, Assistant Professor and Nutritionist of Bundelkhand Medical College, Sagar, says that red chillies are available in the market only for two to two and a half months. But, it is a very beneficial thing. Cancer-preventive properties are found in it. If someone is likely to have stomach cancer or eye cancer and that person is regularly consuming big red chillies, then this possibility becomes very low. Apart from this, it is very good for the person who has a complaint of fatty liver. It is a very effective and panacea vegetable.

 

A medicine for many diseases

Dr Rawat further explains that red chilli contains a lot of vitamin C. It contains iron. Apart from this, it also contains an antioxidant, which means it is very beneficial for those who have joint problems, diabetes or those who have excessive wear and tear or stiffness in their body.

 

How to consume red chilli

Red chilli should be used regularly. During the season, it can be used in vegetables. When the season is over, it can be pickled and stored. Pickle lasts for a long time. People also add it to chutney. If you are having any paratha or any eatable, then you can consume its chutney with it. You can make red chilli chutney by mixing it with tomato or amla chutney.
