Federal-Mogul Goetze (India) Limited, a small-cap auto parts company, has surprised investors by announcing its first-ever dividend. The company's board announced a bumper dividend of ₹94 per share to its shareholders.
Most interestingly, the company is announcing a dividend after a gap of nearly 25 years. According to exchange data, the company last paid a dividend of ₹2.50 per share in August 2001. Following this significant announcement, the company's shares saw strong buying today, August 28, 2026, and jumped 10% to a new 52-week high of ₹614.80 on the NSE.
How long is the record date?
The Board of Directors of the Company has approved the payment of a total dividend of Rs 94 per equity share of face value of Rs 10, divided into two parts – interim dividend of Rs 7.50 and special dividend of Rs 86.50.
The company has set a record date of September 4, 2026 (Friday). This means that investors holding the company's shares in their demat accounts by this date will be eligible for the dividend. This dividend will be paid directly into the bank accounts of eligible shareholders on or before September 25, 2026.
Share prices jumped
Investors rushed to buy the company's shares immediately after announcing a bumper dividend. The stock price jumped to ₹614.80, its 52-week high, while its 52-week low was ₹358.00. Yesterday, Thursday, the stock closed at ₹545.55. At the time of writing, the shares are trading at ₹598.00. The company's current market capitalization is approximately ₹3,335 crore.
